Osmosis was recently awarded Best Specialist ESG Research at the ESG Investing Awards*. This recognition is particularly meaningful for our team, as it marks the first award received for our three-year Emerging Markets research project. The timing is especially fitting, as the culmination of this project recently launched in an Emerging Markets Core Equity strategy.
According to ESG Investing, this year’s awards had a record number of applications, so we are also honoured to be named runner-up for Best ESG Investment Fund – Global Equities, highlighting the continued strength of our Resource Efficiency approach.

Osmosis was established in 2009 with a clear conviction: sustainability would become a defining driver of long-term economic value. As environmental pressures intensified and global systems came under strain, we recognised a compelling opportunity to reallocate capital towards companies better equipped to thrive in a more resource-constrained and rapidly evolving world.
Emerging Markets (EM) have long posed a challenge for investors seeking credible, diversified sustainable exposure. Concerns around data availability and consistency have historically hindered the asset class, raising doubts about whether meaningful ESG integration is possible. Recognising the urgency and opportunity within the world’s most climate-critical economies, we set out to change this narrative.
Over the past three years, Osmosis has undertaken one of the most extensive research initiatives of its kind into EM corporate environmental data. A dedicated team collected, cleaned, extrapolated, and standardised carbon, water, and waste metrics across sectors. This effort brought quantitative rigour to markets often assumed to lack environmental transparency, enabling investors to understand climate risks such as outsourced emissions, water insecurity, and tightening waste regulation. Our findings challenge longheld assumptions about these emerging economies. Read more here.
