Job Overview

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Trading Operations and will be part of Operations Team tasked with performing the day-to-day operations. This role will be ideal for someone with 2+ years operational experience. The role will also include project work which may include streamlining and improving operational processes.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Daily cash and position reconciliation, ensuring all breaks are resolved timely.
  • Liaising with PBs, Administrators and Custodians.
  • Dealing with the outsourced MO/BO service provider on a daily basis.
  • Margin calls/returns and collateral management.
  • Trade support – working closing with the portfolio managers.
  • Working with fund administrator on monthly NAV.
  • Contact point for resolution of daily operational issues including resolving ad-hoc queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain good relationships with PBs, custodians and fund administrators.

Requirements & qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related subject, such as STEM, accounting or economics
  • At least 2+ years’ relevant work experience in operations.
  • Must be competent in Microsoft Office, particularly in excel (VBA/Pivots).
  • Ideally those with IMC or equivalent.
  • Experience in using an OMS/PMS is an advantage– preferably Paladyne
  • Experience or knowledge of using CTM (Omgeo) is an advantage.

  • Ability to work under pressure and organise/prioritise tasks.

Overall, a successful operations analyst in investment management must possess a combination of technical skills, analytical abilities, and interpersonal skills to effectively support the day-to-day operations of the firm.
