June Aitken
June has over 25 years experience in the financial markets. Before establishing Osmosis Investments, she was Head of Strategy Management at HSBC, and prior to that, a Managing Director at UBS Warburg. At HSBC she undertook strategic reviews, including the establishment of an ETF business proposal. June has worked in Asian, Emerging Market and Global equities and was responsible for the management and development of several successful top tier equity distribution platforms globally. June holds a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University.
Ben Dear
Ben is a serial entrepreneur. He has created, built and sold several successful businesses in London including most lately a software testing business based in the city of London called Cresta and a leading financial services search firm called Mantis Partners. In 2008 while looking for a new venture, Ben came across the Stern Report on Climate Change and brought together contacts in the financial services business to create an asset management firm focused on capturing opportunities produced by a rapidly changing global climate.
Gerrit Heyns
Gerrit spent over 20 years building and managing institutional equity distribution networks across Asia and Eastern Europe. He has worked for global institutions like Kleinwort Benson, Lehman Brothers and JP Morgan, as well as domestic banks - Crosby Securities in Hong Kong and Troika Dialog in Moscow. He gave up his partnership at Troika Dialog in 2009 to pursue interesting innovative ways of making money. He joined his partners in forming Osmosis to do just that. He participates in several industry organizations in the sustainability space. Gerrit holds a graduate degree in International Finance from Glasgow University and an undergraduate degree in Finance from Louisiana State University.
Saad Rashid
Saad has over eighteen years’ experience in quantitative analysis and fund management and more recently within the area of environmental themed investments. He worked for CSFB, Buchanan Partners and Crosby Capital Partners before joining Deutsche Bank in the CROCI Investment Product team. He created two environmental-based investment strategies for Deutsche, the CROCI Carbon Alpha and CROCI Carbon 100 indices. Recently he worked for Trucost PLC as an environmental data provider as their Director of Research and has been involved in extensive research around the application of environmental data within investment strategies.
Nadia Bucci
Nadia has over 7 years experience in Sales & Business Development across Europe. She has raised capital for Acropolis Capital and before that for Fortune Group, European Islamic Investment Bank and Fortis Prime Fund Solutions. She has been based in Milan and London. She holds a Masters Degree in Quantitative Finance and Risk Management and a Degree in Business Administration, both from Bocconi University, Milan. She is a CAIA Charter holder.
